Nothing profound from me today, but I was taken by this report that backs up what I'd always suspected, namely that people who illegally download music spend more in buying official releases than those people who don't! Eight out of ten people surveyed who illegally download, here in the UK, also buy the official releases and, typically spend an extra £30! This is only to be expected as true fans want the 'proper stuff' when available as this is usually better quality. Which just goes to show - piracy ISN'T killing music!!
- Space probe Mariner 10 (right) was launched today in 1973 on a mission to fly by which planets?
- What nationality is Dolph Lundgren who was born today in 1957 and played Soviet boxer Ivan Drago in "Rocky IV"?

Certainly food for thought. Here's a click for that one!
I don't know why people want to steel stuff in the first place. You always get better quality when you pay for it.

Yeah, I read that also - very interesting results.
Piracy isn't killing music, just making less musicians rich LOL!

I don't think piracy is killing music, but it's not helping the industry. Great thought!

Thanks for all your comments. I'm not in favour of pirating official releases (music or films), but if people are going to buy the originals later (as many seem to do) then it's probably not as big a problem as the record companies would have us believe!
