Pee for a Better Garden!

Apparently, if we urinate onto our compost heaps it will activate the composting process and provide good quality organic material for our gardens...and save on the number of times we flush the toilet! This idea is being pioneered at Wimpole Hall, a National Trust property in Cambridgeshire! If only I'd realised what a pioneer I am in 'Green Gardening'!

Your Saturday questions are: -
  1. Who married Captain Mark Phillips today in 1973?

  2. Today in 1889, journalist Nellie Bly (right) set off from New York to mimic Jules Verne's "Around the World in 80 Days". Did she complete the journey in more than or less than 80 days?

  3. Which former US Secretary of State was born today in 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama?
Yesterday's Answers: 1. Robert Louis Stevenson; 2. Colombia; 3. Sweden
