Winter Deaths Highest for 9 Years

New figures from the Office for National Statistics show that last winter there were over 36,000 extra deaths, an increase of 49% over the previous year! The largest number of deaths were amongst the over 85's! This is an ongoing scandal, according to Help the Aged, as Britain has more winter deaths than much colder countries such as Sweden and Finland!
