Saturn and Venus in the News!

Today you get two stories for the price of one! Firstly, the Russians are planning a mission to Venus for the first time in almost 30 years! Secondly, another ring has been discovered around Saturn that is 50 times further from the planet than the other rings (and in a different plane). What effect these items will have on us here on Earth is probably negligible, but I find it fascinating!

Your Thursday questions are: -
  1. Which American hero almost single-handedly killed 25 German soldiers and captured another 132, today in 1918?

  2. Sigourney Weaver (right) was born today in 1949 and won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Dian Fossey in which film?

  3. In which Asian country was the earthquake that killed over 70,000 people today in 2005?
Yesterday's Answers: 1. Everest; 2. SyCo; 3. Archbishop Desmond Tutu
