Identification of Liquids on Planes

It looks likely that we will soon be able to take our own liquids onto planes again if the findings in this paper are turned into commercially viable equipment. Using their Hilbert Spectrometer scientists from the Forschungszentrum (Research Centre) Juelich in Germany have managed to identify liquids in 0.2 seconds, which shouldn't hold up the airport queue for too long!
