Astronomers at the European Southern Observatory's La Silla facility in Chile have announced the discovery of a further 32 planets orbiting other stars.This takes the total of exoplanets (planets outside our solar system) to over 400. All we need to do now is to find life on any of them and our position in the universe becomes clearer!
