Politician Talks Sense - Shock!!

So far I've deliberately steered clear of the 2010 General Election and I'm as surprised as you are that I'm going to endorse comments by the Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg! In his speech to the Royal College of Nursing he said something that I've long believed - the best way to get the NHS running efficiently is to give the nurses more say in how it is run! As far as I can see, at the moment a vast fortune is poured into the NHS, but no-one knows how much of it actually reaches the vital area of patient care. To ensure that more resources get to where they are most needed requires a 'bottom up' approach involving the people who are best placed to see and understand the day-to-day problems...the nurses and other front line staff! Let's hope that this actually gets implemented!

Your Wednesday questions are:-
  1. Who was captain of HMS Bounty today in 1789 when the infamous mutiny occurred?

  2. Who was executed, with his mistress Clara Petacci (right), today in 1945?

  3. In which country was Expo 67 that officially opened to the public today in 1967?
Yesterday's Answers: 1. 'The Crafty Cockney'; 2. Philippines; 3. Tess Daly
