Birmingham Carnival Returns

After a year off, today marks the return of Birmingham Carnival which sets off with a procession from Handsworth Park at 1pm ending up at Perry Park at about 3:30pm. The party is expected to continue until 9pm. It's also my birthday today, so I might just go along for a double celebration (or I might just stay at home and be boring!!)

Sunday's questions are: -
  1. Which country was invaded today in 1990?

  2. Actor Peter O'Toole (right) was born today in 1932 and has not won the Best Actor Oscar despite how many nominations? (a record number without winning)

  3. Following the death of Paul von Hindenburg today in 1934, who immediately became President of Germany?
Yesterday's Answers: 1. Yves Saint Laurent; 2. Calamity James ; 3. "Video Killed the Radio Star" by Buggles
