Beer with Longer Shelf Life

Scientists at the Technical University of Dortmund have designed a polymer 'trap' that captures Riboflavin (Vitamin B2). This means that when light passes through the beer (in the bottle) the amount of photo-oxidation is greatly reduced. In layman's terms, the taste doesn't go off so quickly! The work was sponsored by the brewer Heineken! (Can't see the point of this...there's not enough time for light to pass through the glass when I'm drinking!!)

Wednesday's questions are: -
  1. Which Gemini and Apollo astronaut was born today in 1930 in Ohio?

  2. What is the nickname of golfer Paula Creamer (right) who was born today in 1986? (Finished T3 in the recent Ricoh Womens British Open)

  3. Today in 1981, Ronald Reagan sacked over 11,000 strikers who were members of which union?
Yesterday's Answers: 1. Burkina Faso; 2. Elizaberth Bowes-Lyon ; 3. Mary Decker
