The UK-built Zephyr solar-powered plane has smashed the endurance record for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The craft took off from the US Army's Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona at 1440 BST (0640 local time) last Friday and is still in the air! The plan is to keep it in the air for another week. Zephyr is essentially the world's first 'eternal' aircraft and will be very useful for surveillance (but also a lot easier to shoot down than a geostationary satellite!)!
Your Saturday questions are:-
- Konnie Huq (right) was born today in 1975 and was the longest serving female presenter on which children's TV programme?
- Which famous bell was salvaged from a shipwreck today in 1858?
