Whatever Happened to Swine Flu?

The National Pandemic Flu Service in England is to close because of the sharp decline in cases of the H1N1 swine flu virus. So what happened? Did the mass vaccinations work or was the virus not as serious as first thought? I believe that it's the latter! Should we be bothered that this pandemic was hyped up? I don't think so, because when the day comes that a serious virus does appear, all of the authorities will be better prepared. The only slight problem is if too many people believe that the authorities are 'crying wolf' next time and don't take enough heed!
