So far the death rate from Swine Flu in Britain has been 0.026% (that's 26 deaths per 100,000 infected - 283 in total) and two thirds of those have come from groups now eligible for vaccination! This means that for the general population, the chances of dying from Swine Flu are about 90 in a million if you've caught it! That's good news and I'd be interested to see whether these figures are replicated worldwide, but we rarely get to see such statistics!
Your Friday questions are: -
- Actress Anna Carteret (right) was born today in 1942 and played Inspector Kate Longton in which 80's TV drama series?
- Today in 1994, Boris Yeltsin ordered Russian troops into which breakaway republic?
