After being nominated on five previous occasions, Kate Winslett finally won, not one , but TWO Golden Globes! She is the first actress since Sigourney Weaver in 1989 to win both Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards at the same time and only the fourth actress to win two awards in one night (Joan Plowright in 1992 and Helen Mirren in 2006).
Kate Winslett has also been nominated five times for Oscars, perhaps this year her run of disappointments at the Academy Awards will come to an end - who knows, but she will still be the talk of film trivia buffs everywhere!!
