Fiftieth Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

The Cuban Revolution is 50 years old - how many people would have predicted that in 1959 (apart from Fidel Castro and his allies, that is!)? Despite everything the USA has tried to do to destablisie it Cuba has survived. A remarkable achievement, whether you agree with communism or not!

Here are some questions about three less important, but still interesting anniversaries: -
  1. Which American all-girl group recorded “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” today in 1941?
  2. Which poet and peer married his wife Anne today in 1815?
  3. Which infamous mass murderer was arrested in Sheffield today in 1981?

Yesterday's Answers: 1. Melinda; 2. Samuel Pepys; 3. "Robin Hood"
