Dear, oh, dear! England's World Cup hopes hang by a thread and everyone seems surprised! I predicted that it wouldn't be so easy to qualify from our group in my blog when the draw was made! Anyway, a win against Slovenia on Wednesday and England win the group! What the pundits fail to remember that in 1986 England had only one point at this stage and went on to be beaten only by Diego Maradona's 'Hand of God' goal in the quarter-final! Then in 1990, the situation was exactly the same as now and England reached the semi-finals and the infamous penalty shoot out defeat to West Germany! So all is not lost...yet!
