HIV Vaccine 'Reduces Infection'

A remarkable result from a large scale trial in Thailand that involved over 16,000 subjects seems to indicate a 30% drop in HIV infection rate! However, before we all go shouting from the rooftops, the actual number of infections was 51 in the vaccinated group as opposed to 74 in the control group (That's a 0.66% infection rate versus 0.90% rate in the placebo group). I'm not enough of a statistician to say for sure, but it is possible that this is caused by random chance; I hope not though.
