Venice - It's the Real Thing!

Extraordinary!! The City of Venice has entered into a sponsorship deal with Coca Cola! This has caused a row about the city "selling out" to one of the world's corporate 'devils' in order that major artworks and architectural features can be preserved.
I'm not an historian, but as far as I'm aware, Venice was originally one of the greatest trading and commercial centres in the world (if not THE greatest for many years) and was built on the principles of business and capitalism. So, who better to help save the city than one of today's greatest commercial institutions!
