Torchwood is Back!!

A new series of "Torchwood" starts on BBC1 today at 9pm! The trailers look great - a bit like 'Children of the Damned/Midwich Cuckoos', but I'm sure it will develop into something significantly different. This series consists of five hour-long episodes on five consecutive nights - I can't wait!!

Pringles ARE Potato Crisps

In a ruling by the Court of Appeal it has been decided that Pringles are to be classed as Potato Crisps for tax purposes and are liable for VAT. I was surprised to find out that Pringles are only 42% potato!

Atlantis Lost, Found, Lost Again

The lost city of Atlantis seemed to have been rediscovered by Google Earth this week. Google have moved swiftly to explain that the grid pattern seen on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean isn't Atlantis. Oh well, we'll just have to keep looking for it!!

Atlantic Submarine Collision

Two nuclear powered submarines, carrying nuclear warheads, crash into each other in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean - amazing! The fact that a British and a French submarine were in the same area of the ocean suggests to me that they were both looking for something. What, we will probably never know, but it is a rather curious incident, though, thankfully not a serious one!!
