One Legged Golfer at Dunhill Links Championship

Manuel de los Santos is 25, from the Dominican Republic and is currently taking part in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland off a handicap of 3. So far not so remarkable, except that he lost a leg in a car crash in France and now plays golf without the use of an artificial limb! This is truly remarkable (I've still got all my limbs and struggle to play to a handicap of 19!) and after two rounds he and his professional partner (Richard Bland) are lying equal 13th with a score of 16 under par!!

Scotland is Wonderful

Back home now. Had a great time in Scotland, although mostly, all I saw was the inside of a BBC Studio and Green Room. I can't tell you anything of what happened during the making of "A Question of Genius", except to say that I think it could become one of the great quiz shows - it is all about knowledge, speed, strategy and judgement with a wee bit of luck thrown in. I met some lovely people, both contestants and production staff. You''ll just have to wait a few more weeks to see what it looks like when broadcast and how I got on!!
