Glastonbury Festival Sold Out

When there's snow on the ground...and more on the way...what better time to look forward to the summer? The news that Glastonbury has sold out already is a heartwarming sign that it's not all doom-and-gloom in Britain.

Even though none of the artists have been confirmed, the Great British music public have voted with their wallets again. Hopefully it will be a bit warmer in June when the festival takes place.

The new US Secretary of State has spoken; Hillary Clinton has said that the US should use 'smart power' to help solve the world's problems. Finally, the American government might have a chance to be a force for good in the world.

Over a hundred years ago, Theodore Roosevelt used the phrase, "Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far". Perhaps, the new US regime are about to heed his wise words; too often in the recent past America has waved the big stick first before shouting at their enemies (and allies)!
